The Qutub Minar is a remarkable tower in Delhi, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1993. It was mainly built between 1199 and 1220 and features 399 steps. This historic site is popular among tourists. The construction began under Qutab-ud-din Aibak, who completed only the first level. His successors continued the work, and in 1368, Firuz Shah Tughlaq refurbished the upper parts and added a distinctive dome. The Qutub Minar has been lit up for significant diplomatic events, such as in September 2023 when it displayed the colors of the Mexican flag for Mexico’s Independence Day and later that year for Turkey’s Republic Day.
