🏰 Qutub Minar, one of Delhi’s most iconic landmarks, has stood tall for centuries as a symbol of India’s rich heritage. Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1993, this magnificent tower was built mainly between 1199 and 1220 and consists of 399 steps leading to its summit.
The construction began under Qutab-ud-din Aibak, who completed only the first level. His successors carried the work forward, and in 1368, Firuz Shah Tughlaq restored the upper sections and crowned it with a distinctive dome.
Today, the Qutub Minar continues to shine — both in history and in light. It has been beautifully illuminated for global celebrations, such as displaying the Mexican flag colors for Mexico’s Independence Day and the Turkish flag colors for Turkey’s Republic Day in 2023. Graceful, grand, and timeless — Qutub Minar stands as a proud reminder of India’s architectural brilliance. 🌿✨
